Sutent 12.5 mg Capsule belongs to the class of medications called ‘antineoplastic agents’ used in treating gastrointestinal stromal tumors (cancer of the stomach, bowel, or esophagus) in which patients don’t respond to imatinib (another anticancer agent). It is also used to treat renal carcinoma (kidney cancer) that has spread to other parts of the body and advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (cancer that has affected hormone-producing cells in the pancreas).
